Assistant Professor, Dr Ling Li, in the MSU Department of Biological Sciences, visited with some Partnership Middle School classes to talk about the significance of “mid-autumn” in her culture. She shared how the rising of the moon tonight signifies the welcome of a new season. Loved ones spend the evening together, watch the moon and share “moon cakes.”
Dr. Ling also showed videos of the moon rising and explained how this time of year brings about a change of season.
