Mitchell Library Partners with SOSD to Bring Resources to All Educators

MSU Mitchell Library

MSU Mitchell Library has partnered with the Starkville Oktibbeha School District to bring resources to all educators and students. The resources at the MSU Libraries are available to the faculty and staff working within the Starkville Oktibbeha School District. Following are directions to access this benefit:

Once you complete the form, linked below, you will be able check out books, CDs, DVDs, and other materials in the MSU collection using the online catalog and have them delivered to the school.  You will also be able to borrow materials from over 55 other libraries that are members of the Mississippi Library Partnership (To learn more about the partnership visit http://library.msstate.edu/mlp or see the attached brochure).  One of the highlights: the MSU Libraries have an extensive juvenile and young adult collection that you will be able check out.  In addition, using your SOCSD ID card you’ll be able to use in-person resources at the library. You will be able to search online databases, access online resources, use the Virtual Reality Lab and the Audio-Visual Studio, and take online technology and information literacy workshops. (Note, this access does not allow teachers to access all of the library’s databases remotely because of contractual obligations.  However, you will be able to use these databases while in the library.)

In order to gain access to MSU Libraries, please provide your information here:  https://msstate.libwizard.com/f/SSD

You will receive an email when you are granted library access and then you can begin checking out materials and visiting the libraries.
